New AT5600 Test Option - Opens the door to automation, customised data collection
The AT5600 API is a simple .dll file that you can import into your own code.
This then gives you a suite of commands to control the AT5600 directly.
The majority of user interactions with the front panel can then be automated via your own code.
The commands can be sent to the AT5600 over Ethernet, USB or RS232.
For the full list of commands please see documentation below.
The API allows you to automate any of the following remotely from your own code.
a) Fetch any ATP program from the AT Server which is already connected to the AT5600.
b) Send any ATP program file to the unit directly (without AT Server, similar to an AT Editor program push).
c) Run Open and Short compensation and receive compensation status.
d) Set Batch # , Operator# and Next Transformer Serial # rather than typing or scanning in on the unit.
e) Run the test program and receive Overall result and individual test results if needed.
The standard AT Server collection of results is preserved if already enabled in your program options.
f) Query basic information from the unit (Firmware, serial number, Interlock status)
This then allows you to integrate the AT5600 with your own robotic systems and / or data collection systems.

YES, you can !
To try the new API for yourself, you will need the following;
a) An AT5600 with Firmware V 1.004.074 or later installed.
b) A demo key code from Voltech to enable the API for 30 days.
You then enter this to the AT5600 using the AT Editor to unlock the API commands on that unit. (see picture right)
c) The API library and API documentation.
Both are free to download above, on this page.
If you would like to try this new feature yourself, please use the form to the right and we will send you a demo keycode to enable the API on your AT5600 for 30 days.
